I think my photography is improving but as good as these are I have
to say that these photo's still don't do justice to this item.
All the photo's are dark the reason for this is I have to show a
contrast for the carving to stand out from the background & the
background with a piece like this just has to be brilliant white or
the item will take on the colour of what ever other background you
use.
Now I think this is one for the gentlemen but do let me know if
you think differently. I bought this one because I like it, from a
business point of view it's an act of pure insanity on my part. This
is because this item has such a small audience. As I say I think
because of it's size & the nature of the subject it will only be of
interest to men not to speak of the price. Plus it is only of interest
to the very dedicated Jade collector being the most perfect piece of
ICE JADE I have ever seen.
It is made from the centre of a bangle & if the stone in the
bangle was as good a quality as this is, it would have been on par
with the pair of bangles that where sold at Christy's a year or two
ago for $500,000USD. So despite the relatively high price I am asking
it's really quite inexpensive. To say that the man who carved it is
indeed the Michael Anglo of jade is something of an under statement.
As I say it's the most perfect piece I have ever seen. Now if you are
looking for a piece that is totally an original then you have to
consider this item.
If I don't sell it in a few years it will go for auction at
Christy's or alike or when the cash is a little low as I am guessing
that the folk who have this sort of cash don't trawl the Internet
looking for Jade.
Even if you have no interest in buying it please drop me a line
& let me know what you think if you have time.

Possibly this is the best example of the colour. This item is so
clear & translucent it will be the colour of what ever is under it
when it's being worn. |
